Hello,
My name is Theressa, I have been weaving baskets for around 20 years. I originally learned my craft while my Husband and I were stationed in Iwakuni, Japan.
I love traditional styles of baskets and I do allot of research on how they are made. I have recently taken a class on white oak basketry and am working to start including that in my weaving.
I enjoy exploring more contemporary artistic forms that allow me a free hand in shaping and textures. I often use multiple materials within a basket to achieve the desired look or feel that i am seeking.
